Russia’s entry for Ukraine’s 2017 Eurovision song contest singing in the occupied Crimea in 2015.

Eurovision Song Contest is the longest-running annual international TV song competition, held, primarily, among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union. This year Eurovision will be hosted by Ukraine.

Russia tried to organize provocation and intended to send a disabled representative Yulia Samoilova who in 2015 gave concert in Ukrainian Crimea (in Kerch) annexed by Russia in 2014. By illegally crossing Ukrainian border she violated Ukraine’s laws. For that reason she was banned from entrance to Ukraine and therefore will not be able to participate in the Eurovision 2017 song contest.
